Twice upon a time in the West

Inspired by (although not very obvious) various Western themes from films, including Once upon a time in the West and High Plains Drifter. I have tried to re-imagine the Wild West frontier as a futuristic post-apocalytic nuclear wasteland on some barren otherworldy planet.

I did have some ideas behind the mechanics of it all, that the totem poles would move, and that the various pods would rise and descend similar to an elevator. Two of the poles are Cowboy, whilst the 'Eagle head' pole is Indian themed. Look closely and you can see the sheriffs Office, the barbers, a cafe, the Saloon, peace pipes, and other bits and bobs. I guess this is really more suited to print, as it does need to be seen big to be examined fully.

Various painting techniques as well as lots of fiddly penwork in this one. I have done itty bitty drawing before, but I have to say this one did surprise me, I mean, I even wear really thick glasses - why the hell don't I draw things bigger?
